Kelly White O’Neill has been working in the non profit sector in the Los Angeles and Santa Maria community’s for most of her professional life. She is thrilled to be using her extensive experience and expertise to help the Boys & Girls Clubs to raise awareness their programs and impact and raise funds to ensure all children who need them, have access to the high quality and life-changing services provided by the organization.

Formerly, Kelly was the executive director of the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, was Executive Director of the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, and also did outreach and fundraising for the Foodbank and Angels Foster Care among other very worthy organizations.

She is a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria and received her B.A. from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Kelly has a masters degree from USC in Museum Studies—with an emphasis in Museum Education and she previously worked in Los Angeles at the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Armand Hammer Museum and Cultural Center, in both of their Education Departments, then supervised all of the community education classes at the City of Torrance Fine Arts and Cultural Center before returning to Santa Maria about 15 years ago.

Kelly is also an active volunteer and has been a member of the Santa Maria Noontime Kiwanis, is a longstanding member of the American Association of University Women and is a past president of the Santa Maria Branch. Kelly is a volunteer interviewer for the Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation. Kelly enjoys eating, drinking, traveling and is an avid backyard gardener and chicken mom. She is married to Jim O’Neill, a local attorney, and they make their home with their 12 year old son, Tommy, and their 4-legged children in Santa Maria.
