Crystal Moreno grew up in Santa Maria and knew from a young age she always wanted to help people, especially children. Attending local schools, she graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. With fifteen years of professional experience working with children and youth, she has followed her calling to help others and loves being part of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) team.
Crystal’s experience with CASA started in 2009 when she was sworn-in as a volunteer advocate. Seeing firsthand the difference advocacy made for her CASA child made working for CASA an easy choice. “CASA is the only advocacy program that gives a voice to children in foster care. It’s my love of children and a strong interest in the legal system that makes CASA a perfect fit for me. Being a mother myself, I want to make sure every child experiences the same unconditional love, safety and forever home that I provide to my own children.”
In her spare time, Crystal enjoys planning parties, traveling, and playing board games with her two daughters, Alyssa and Alexa.
